Poetry is a cultural asset. Every civilization, every people has its own poetic tradition, from the times of the Epic of Gilgamesh to the present day, passing through the ancient Greece of Homer, the European Middle Ages of Dante, the French decadent modernity of Baudelaire, to get to India of Tagore.
We decided to set up a Poetry subcommittee. The Italian poet and writer Paolo Gambi presides over it.
The subcommittee will be able to gather all poetry enthusiasts from the Rotarian world. It will organize online reading and further activities.
